today was quite a memorable day. finally understood the true meaning of friendship.

leaving for Beijing tomorrow. the longest time away from home after 21days of Japan last year.

geog was quite well done. and now im left with frickin physics. omg. why do we have to learn why our bulb lights up, why we know where force is going. it’s dumb. seriously, we should review our “world-class” institution syllabus. others get to choose subjects at sec 4. we don’t.

and that’s why people end up screwing subjects.

Life.

is not a bed of roses. sometimes it just sucks big time. cos we do not exist as one person. we exist as a society. today’s rp discussion was good. makes me think of something. it is not our teachers, parents or friends that put pressure on us. it’s our society, in other words, it’s all the meritocracy and dog-eat-dog that builds this pressure on.

this makes me remember what thh and mong-e told us about their lives. thh did triple science, cos he wanted to be a doctor. but in the end he became a phy teacher. mong-e apparently studied at tkss but then aced her ‘o’s to go to RJC, quite miraculous sia. it;s all because we have these world-class institutions, world-class facilities blah blah, that we are pushed to achieve them.

we have to please these people. we have to do the ‘right’ things. arrgh.

i’m going to go run. at least it vents my frustration. the only good things today is my bio and chi results though.

went to nie for armlu today.

baildon is nice.

then we started talking about our research etc.

before that, we were roaming around nie 3rd floor aimlessly.
