2007. a year of fun. a year of depression. a year of love. a year of hatred. a year of business.

2007 was one year of trials and tribulations. overall it bore fruit.

perhaps i like how it ended. not how it began.

first, i definitely have to review my resolutions which i made on 1st Jan 2007.

1. Stay healthy and happy. i’ve done the ‘healthy’ part. did not have any major illnesses this year, just some ulcers and sore throats. ‘happy’ most of the times, but sometimes when i overstretch myself or some fk-tards come and boss me, i got pissed.

2. Good relationships. (somehow it is not possible with b******* out there) most of the relationships are good, except for one or two, which is definitely a damper.

3. Get richer. yup, definitely a 1k richer (:

4. Travel to somewhere that is not in malaysia, indo, thai, sing yess! i at least travelled to vietnam, brunei, japan, hong kong, macau.

5. Get good grades in any areas. achieved it in academia, but for napfa still quite disappointing. i really hate sit-and-reach

6. Blog without dotzing. most of the time!

January 2007

co shifted into salt centre, a new environment for our orchestra, as we began our march towards syf’07.

start of school, start of everything. got apparently all new teachers for sec 3, but all of them were quite nice, especially the sciences teachers. tan sensei for japanese got off to a rocky start, maybe really not used to being pressurised learning japanese.

cant seem to adjust to the busy schedule of sec 3, with all the lessons and homework, sometimes maybe even depressing.

singapore thrashing laos 11-0. project superstar competition. fuelled a lot of hate for someone.

this month is a struggle, hectic month. passed my 2.4km!

February 2007

cip @ taman jurong. quite a nice experience. daren won pss2.

tansensei a joker.

hwachong chinese debate started and represented 3F with some of my peers.

we won 3O in the prelims. visited national library a lot of times for research.

tong xun yuan charity sale. bought fish phaernophilia. sold cookies.

teasing teachers about valentine’s day. laughter.

chinese new year. our class spirit when giving the cny cards to all our teachers.

our performance at kkh, not what i expected.

my vietnam trip with all my cousins and family.

saw the mekong. ate vietnamese cuisine. total viet trip.

March 2007

CO reunion dinner. fun and exciting.

sec 1 camp station master. saw some fk-tards there.

sph orientation, syf preparation, hrp, projects day.

feeling quite uninspired for some time.

remedy: bitching.

April 2007

syf: leave sch with no regrets.

enjoy it. play it. love it.

OB Brunei, a great experience for me.

the land expedition, the sea expedition, and the solo night.

abseiling and the fun times we have together as pateh berbai.

im tanned after that too. im still waiting for the solo night letter OBBD!

in less than a week, departed for japan for hamamatsu trip!

leaving home for 20days. the longest i suppose.

the fun we had on the plane. the majestic of narita. the card-filled, concentration and murderer times on the coach.

the start of my homestay with iwase family. arigatou!

i loove japan. the place the scenery the food.

June 2007

more turning japanese. riding on shinkansen. visiting the sights. mt fuji. lotsa lotsa stuff.

the times we had fun in hokubu. the friendship forged with each other still remains.

the time to depart from our host families. the reluctance.

the crying on the coach, sharing our comforts. the hokubu people’s farewell.

hamamatsu outing. took part in code red or known as ai shang xiao hong dian. fun experience, totally enjoyed the day.

learnt fine dining with the proed otc members.

start of the singapore-jap exchange programme. quite a disappointing experience. maybe he’s a little introvert, but at least i deserve an appreciation right?

the national day performance at ulu pandan where we laughed and laughed and laughed.

the bbq at deb’s house. my msg plummeting above 2. something. my C5s and B4s.

It’s Goodbye Khaki Shorts & Hello to Long Pants

what a long title. the longest one i believe in the history of this blog.

I think tomorrow will be my last day wearing khakis i guess when i make a trip down to school.

it’s actually quite a time i quit wearing the uniform since brass buttons are such a hassle.

but khaki shorts still remain though.

i tried wearing the sec 4 uniform once. it’s terribly hot and stuffy.

maybe 3 years of cool air has made me love the pair of shorts.

oh well, i guess time really flies.

Christmas Celebrations

celebrated christmas at my aunt’s house.

barbeque.

so we sat on the verandah eating and talking with all my cousins.

reflecting and bitching.

the food was quite nice, especially the spaghetti sauce with mussels, prawn, crabmeat and sausage. yumm.

then we decided to sing karaoke.

my aunt has this damn zhaaii karaoke machine and it is like kbox.

can call for service some more worr.

so we sang.

yanzi. jay. angela. fir. and more.

the sound is quite good.

and i found out i cant sing yanzi song well. but i can on ahmei songs.

maybe my pitch is the same as hers.

and we were like discussing if the lead singer of soda green is gay.

lawl.

sang and sang until 11.55pm.

then we countdowned to christmas with champagne and rose champagne.

apparently the rose one smell sweeter than the champagne, but it’s more bitter and less nicer.

but i still hate alcohol. where got nice.

then we sang and ate and left at 1am.

went home and slept straightaway.

and my christmas gift is jiiii expensive lor!

Malaysia Break.

this december.

malaysia was one good trip.

firstday

took the coach at golden mile complex.

one of those luxury kind. like airplane.

basically.

completed the curious dog incident book just on the bus.

wished i brought frankestein along.

slept for some hours caused i stayed quite late the previous night.

then we took the winding road up to genting.

the pressure getting lower.

so everything airtight expanded.

for example, potato chips, maggi mee and even wet tissues.

we reached after like 6h.

checked in at genting hotel.

a lil bit old. but still fine.

after that had fried mee for lunch.

then went to slack at hotel before having chinese for dinner.

shopped after that.

targeted some stuff to buy though.

my grandpa won RM700 at the casino.

watched the fifa awards on television.

somehow, it felt very cold inside the room.

secondday

woke up and had breakfast at the cafe below.

buffet. quite ok.

was my grandpa treat.

after that my cousins, aunt and uncle and me decided to watch movie.

actually we wanted to watch yesterday night but tickets was sold out and they didnt allow us to buy advance tickets.

so inefficient.

ended up having to wait 1h to buy tickets.

went shopping around before the show started.

bought a SEED shirt. RM39

bought a PADINI tee. RM29.

i love padini. (:

then we went to watch I am Legend.

which opened earlier there.

quite nice, but only very few actors.

after that was more shopping and lunched at hou mian. ate curry noodles.

after that played bowling and ate dinner which was total rip off.

2 sides and 1 rice cost RM13.

wth.

splurged on a strawberry tart and coffee at the cafe. but was worth it!

thirdday

woke up and had macs for breakfast.

then it was some walking around before taking the coach to kl.

coach took around 2h.

reached sunway pyramid.

checked in and shopped at the shopping centre.

then went to chinatown or jalan petaling.

all fakes there and apparently, i just cant seem to buy the nike shoe below RM60.

and all of the sales people actually have walkie talkies and maybe telling the others not to sell to us.

lol.

went back at night.

fourthday

woke up and had the free breakfast buffet.

iceskated.

quite fun. it is just the falling down that’s not.

still prefer roller blading though.

then went to midvalley to shop.

quite big. like vivocity.

went around and bought a Padini slippers at RM23.

went back and shopped again before having dinner at coffeeshop.

got satay. fish and sotong etc. yumm.

went to shop again.

bought a Body Glove bag for RM55.

bought a tee for my bro.

then went back to hotel to relax.

fifthday

last day.

played cards and then shopped for last minute

before boarding the bus back.

took 6h to reach tuas.

watched scary movie 4. slept.

reached home.

basically, thought huang biren or ivy lee would get best actress.

and tay ping hui as best actor.

but supporting actors and actresses still ok.

best show: yay metamorphosis. basically one of the ch8shows that I zhui kan.

thought guo liang should have won best host.

and ai shang xiao hong dian as best variety even though i still loved you hua hao hao shuo.

tung soo hua is still ok for best news presenter.

pornsak for best newcomer? jacqueline sue should have won lar.

eventually. minds camp is over.

let me give you an outline of the 2nd & 3rd Days of the camp.

2nd day was swimming lessons in the morning for the trainees.

then was sentosa outing with animal show, merlion walk, carnival and songs of the sea.

3rd day was concert and preparation.

the time when you see the kids smile. you just feel the sense of satisfaction and joy percolating into your body.

mending the kacang puteh stall was one of the best times i had.

looking at the kids happily eating, you just feel so. you just cant describe it.

the excitement in their eyes. playing games. dancing and singing.

eating and having fun.

ying smsed me in the morning. telling me about her trip in cambodia.

this is the season to give. my bro went cambodia too.

sometimes. when you’re at the bottom of the bottom. a little help, smile and encouragement goes a long way.

by the way, this is one birthday i wont forget.

the minds people actually helped celebrated the december babies birthdays.

singing happy birthday, blowing out the candles and cutting the cake with all the trainees and trainers is so memorable.

even though they may not understand much, birthdays are always happy occasions.

looking at them during the concert, dancing to siewchien.

looking at them during songs of the sea, their eye in awe.

it is definitely inspiring.

the friendship made throughout the adventure.

nvac are a group of nice people.

as what yonghui and michelle said in sentosa

“i just find something weird. those teenagers are staring us like we are what. i just cant believe that there are actually people who can help and those who just chi he wan le (eat, drink, play, merry)”

maybe zuo ren should just give.

definitely learnt a lot in this whole camp.
